The damn sun was in my eyes and I was hauling *** thru an abandoned strip center. All this sudden there was a Pole in front of me and .0000000000009 seconds later, I was eating the windshield!!
I felt like a total ***,[:@] you should have seen all the people driving thru the parking lot just to get a picture of a Tow Truck needing a Tow Truck !!
What I really want to know is why the air bag didn't deploy? You would think it would have right?

On the subject of mailboxes:
I love it when idiots miss the corner in front of my house and hit MY mailbox. 30 years ago a kid missed the corner and my dad installed and "upgraded" mailbox post. A full 8 foot rail road tie . It is at standard 4 foot height - so there is four feet in the ground. There is a 4 inch chip in the corner of it from the last kid who tried to play mailbox baseball; if I remember correctly he broke his collar bone & arm when he flipped out of the bed of the pick up.
On the subject of tow trucks needed a tow truck:
The hubby drove tow trucks for a couple years. One night he got a call from one of the other drivers that the guy was stuck in a tulip field. (For those of you not from flower country; tulips are planted in raised rows and tend to flood in the low.) He drove out w/ the wrecker to help recover the flatbed. Once they both got stuck they called the the other two drivers. So now all four of the companies trucks are stuck in the mud. The owner comes out in his S-10 and the five trucks leap frog their way out the 500 yards to the road. Took a total of 6 hours to get them all back to the shop. Other than every truck needing a bath there was no serious damage done though.
