Sorry to say that i just wasted my time test drivingan 08 6.7 6sp with 383 gears. It would not pull a wet noodle out of an old maid [:@]compared to the 04 that I just sold that had no mods. There was no (set you back in the seat) at all anywhere in the rpms at any gear, My 04 would pin you down if you romped on it at 70, Maybe it was just the truck. I did like the factory exhaust brake and the way it drove, but Im teelin ya the power is not there like on the 3rd gen. 5.9. Go see for yourself. They wont mind you trying one out cause they need something to do cause business is so off right now.

 

I'm not suprised and there is no way your gonna get me to waste my time lol... putting my truck back to stock settings, stock air box & stock intake not too long ago really REALLY sucked... it was like a whole different truck.

well. . .you'll loose the seat, but that would be a good place to put it since it is slightly forward of the rear wheel. . .my question would be the brake controller wireing.


if you ask nice enough I'm pretty sure Ty would let you borrow his truck. . .you could load it down with 40K and still not break a sweat.[8D]

 

Wow, and I'm all set to test drive an 08 ... having never owned a 5.9, I appreciate your post.

Mike, If you can find a 5.9 in your price range that you like and can get a good interest rate, that is the way to go. Just try to find one that has never been modded and do it yourself if you want. Drive a 5.9 and then the 6.7 and see for yourself.
