Ok I have been looking for a new truck I think I found what I am looking for 2005 25005.9Quad cab 4x4 with 42500 miles. I have been a die Hard GM guy from the start its a famliy thing but GM has been disapointing on there looks the last few years. Sorta can't wait till Wensday to go look at her. It's 65 miles a way. I am going to have a hard time the next two days at work just thinking of a new toy. show it off to my friend who thinks Mopar is king.

Is there any major problems with a 05 25004x4 autos.

I am going to have some good dreams these next two nights.

That truck looks pretty straight.

Some common complaints:

1) Some complain about the seats being uncomfortable.
2) U-joints and ball joints on front axle.
3) Vibrations at highway speed (usually from u-joints).
4) Horn honking in reverse (with door open) "safety recall".

Look for signs of aftermarket chips or guages which might indicate harder usage.

 

Thanks. It is very clean The bed looks as if no one used it. U-joints must be common on mopar trucks my buddy had to replace his on his jeep around 40,000.

 

The auto's are the weak link in the equation. They're fine if you don't add any extra power, like a chip or module, and as long as you keep them cool. What kinda price are we talking here. My guess is it should be around $25 or 26k.

What Preston is that at? There's one pretty close to me in New Castle PA.

 

Preston Toyota New Castle. 25,500. I been looking around and it seems the prices are wide spread I seen a few 2003's listed for over 27,000. and only a few clean used that have less than 100,000 miles on them.

I've got an 04.5, pretty much the same as the 05's and I've had a few problems with mine. I think they are great trucks and you won't be sorry you bought it. I've came to the conclusion that mine was severely abused by the previous owner and I'm paying for it now, but I've got most of the kinks worked out.
