Default auxillary fuel tank

does anyone have any pictures, of tanks in the bed? are you guy using them to fuel equipment? Or just to extend your range? I am thinking of doing something simple, I am invisioning a ball valve for shut off. W/ a direct line to the filler neck of the stock tank. anyone have any ideas? I did a complicated transfer system for a gaspowered dually when I was still driving for the race team, but i don't think that I need all that.

I'll get some pics of the tank and re-type the post I did earlier, maybe I forgot to hit save.

This is the Transferflow 50gal. model. It's very convienent, has a computer moduale in the cab that pumps fuel to the main tank automaticly. The computer works to keep an equal balance of fuel in percentages. Meaning......when I'm down to 3/4 full in the main, so is the aux. I've had it over a year with no problems. I bought it for the extended range that it gives me.

I have my tank hooked up the same way as you are wanting to hook your up, with a ball valve and it works great. Have never had a problem with it. Bought all the parts at Home Depot.

The only problem I had was the sending unit was not on tight and it would leak about a 4 in dia puddle on the ground overnight if I left the valve open. After tightening it, no more problems.

This is the only picture I could find. Mine is 90 gallons. It was custom made by a welder friend to fit in the space between the wheel well and front of the bed, and also be flush with the top.

i used to run a transfer flow as well. I loved it. It was diamond plate, looked just like a tool box. only bout enough room in it for some gloves and a chain or two. but it worked real good. was in the 80-100 gallon range.
