Default Gas motor swap, to a 4bt

Just wondering if anyone had any helpfull advice for my swap. I wanna put a cummins 4bt in place of my 360 gas motor. The truck is a 95 3/4 ton standard cab long box. Also if anyone has a running 4bt i would like to pay cash for it. Thanks for any info!

Why not just go for a 12 Valve instead of the 4BT? the 12 Valve will make alot more power and should be alot easier to swap.

Yeah that is somthing im considering too. Im in SD and im havn a hell of a time finding any motor thats worth a crap. I either want to sell the truck now or swap motors and keep it. a 12v out of a 96'-98' would be best wouldnt it?

better off (and a lot cheaper) to just look for a truck that is already set up with a CTD. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches and expense trying to convert your current rig. Now if you like to do crazy stuff like that, go for it! I have done a lot of things with different vehicles such as convert a van to 4X4 (I wouldn't recommend it), put a foot clutch and hand shift on a chopper with 20" ape hangers (wouldn't recommend it) and built a stock bike with a 140hp engine (definitely recommend it!)

4bt is a good motor. . but if your gunna do it, do it right and find a 12 valve out of a 94-98.4 2500 and work the injector pump over a little. . .you may have to upgade the rear axel after a few hard launches, but it sure will be fun
