If I leave my block heater plugged in all night, how much power is that gonna pull? I mean electric bill wise?
Back in December there was a similar thread about block heaters and current draw, and I did some math to create an estimate. See my post on this thread: https://dodgeforum.com/m_1085690/tm.htm
Ok, after reading that, how much does that timer cost?? I've appearantly already dropped about $100 into keeping my engine warm ALL night long for the last month.
I bought an indoor Intermatic digital timer at Home Depot for about $30. It's plugged into an outlet in my garage, and a 50' extension cord goes between the timer and the block heater. Whatever you buy, make sure it can handle at least 800 watts.
