Default De-badging

I want to take the 2500 Heavy Duty emblems off my Driver and passenger doors just to give the truck a cleaner look, i'm pretty sure that they are held on by an automotive tape. Has anyone done this, and how did you remove them? I was thinking a heat gun to make the adhesive pliable, and then some 3M adhesive remover to get any residue thats left!

Did one not to long ago seems to go ALOT smoother if you soak all the emblems with goo-gone (or something similar) heavly for a good 5minutes min. so the tape soaks it in and comes off alot easier if not you'll be rubbing gunk off for hours...just a tip. And yes fishin line worksgreat to complete the team

3m makes an eraser that attaches to a drill. Comes off like magic.
