Default tire advice

I might be gettin some tires for my truck soon because the nitto grapplers aren't gonna last long. I was wondering what tires for a decent price could last a good amount of time. I mostly all drive on the highway, never off road. I had thought about some Michelin, I want a AT look since my truck is leveled out but its only 2wd. I'm looking for some 265/70R17

I liked the Michelins LTX on my suburban but wish I would of got another set of BF Goodrich AT...look better and traction was better and lasted 75k miles...twice...of course those were on a 3500lbs toyota.
Eitherway...both are great and are the same company

You want to stick with at least a D rated tire. For towing you'll want an E. Most of the AT tires will come up to at least a D; a few have E's.

A lot of guys run Pro Comps around here and have had good things to say. I ran them for a while and was very happy with them.

I Went With Toyo At's.. They Are E Rated.. I May Not Ever Need The E's Load Rating.. But I Went With The Structure For The Additional Heighth. It Paid Off and I Don't Get The Bouncing I Did With My D's.

But With The Tire Size Your Looking At - An E Rated Tire May Beat You Up.

Goodyear Has Their New Silent Armor's Which Uses Kevlar.. If I Didn't Get The Toyo's That Was My Next Choice...

I too am in the market for some tires and I haven't made up my mind.I thought I had with Pro comps, but with diesel escallating likeit is I'm thinking that I'd be better off with a taller skinnier tire to get me the best mpg's

Here's what I'm considering

I put Transforce AT's on my 1500 when I bought my 5th wheel and I love them, They work great in the snow. I checked they come in white letter in 265 70 17

I've gotFirestone Destination A/Ts:

They are ok, decent on dry and wet, cheap and quiet and fair in the sand (aired down to 20 PSI).
