I'd bump it up to 1100 rpms for overnight and forget about it. I only use faster than that to warm up or cool down the cab on startups...

like the guys said this is normal but if you pay close attention the truck is also switching and running in 3 cylinder mode alternating the cylinders to create heat faster. and i am sorry to say if you do not have you electrical option i do not belive you can turn it on i could be wrong but have never heard of it added or turned on
