RE: Diesel Prices!!!
Kenz,
The fuel for these vessels go for about $460-492 per metric ton (Heavy Fuel Oil 380CST main engines). These vessels usually take about 500-1500metric tons. Just depends on the voyage. So your looking at about $246,000 for about 500mt. This amout could be used in about 3 weeks depending onthe vessels size. I've seenbills for over 1 million $'s to fill'erup and thats for a Trans Atlantic Voyage.

RE: Diesel Prices!!!
here in wonderful Wi. it is $ 4.00 per gallon. Supply and demand I don't think is the problem. I do own a business and when a business makes a profit of 135 billion in 3 months, well need I say more. They supply what they want and we WILL pay. Deisel is heating oil and I have seen in42 years a bump inprice of about 10 cents for winter months. Deisel is the cheapist to refine, guess what thetanksand jets run off of. and by the way, my brother serverd in Quait!!NAVY!!! THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR MEN AND WOMAN THAT DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!!Hopefull it will come down. My cummins is in the garage alot more than before!!! By the way, Jim Doyle our wonderfulDumocrate Gov.has us at 51 cents a gallon tax!!!!

RE: Diesel Prices!!!
diesel in Phoenix is now around $3.89/ gal
we have 1 bio dealer that is the ONLY licensed bio dealer in the state.
the state legislature is contiplating a "bio subsidy" for exisitng fuel stations to swap to bio diesel from Diesel #2. this will be paid for by a non tax subsidized account ....

Why do boats have that big round snout on the front on the bottom? Wouldn't theymove faster with a pointier hull?
Have you ever docked one of those suckers, and seen a bunch of illegals hop out that were transported from far away lands?

Those are known to me as "boulbous bows". I believe they are built there for stability of a rising and falling bow in heavy weather.
Yes, I dock and undock these class of ships often, but never seen a stowaway bail!
