Hey Jakebrake - FASS relay question
Will this return line be comming off of the 44, or somewhere else?
You want me to pinch off the return line the night before, and then un-pinch it in the morning just before fireing it up right? If that is the culprit, how is it fixed?

The line will run from the vp44 to the fuel tank. Pinch it off when you shut the truck off then take the clamp off in the morning and try starting it. If it starts good then the pressure relief in the pump may be letting it leak down.
Here is your problem.....
Seriously, I know you have struggled with this thing for awhile. It really sounds like a leak down in the line somewhere thats letting fuel drain back into the tank. Do you see any fuel staining anywhere along the system? Just my 2 cents.
I hope you get it worked out.
cranking with my foot pinned to the floor on the gas pedal

Hey Donny,
check out this hillbilly fix on my airbag relay. I went to use them the other day and they didn't work. Here the water and salt corroded the relay pins off. There wasn't anywhere to mount it close to the compressor and out of the weather. So I used this electrical box. It's got a plug glued in the top and a rubber stopper stuffed in the bottom to keep the water out. I coulda used the smaller size box but was afraid it wouldnt fit. Nice and dry in there now though.

That sure is a hillbilly fix, but what is the drywall screw for? Surely you could have found a stainless steel screw. Now you won't be able to get whatever it is that's holding off because now the drywall screw is going to rust.
