Default GGGAAAAAAHHHH!!!! not again

well, today I was able to get a load of free fill dirt, I would estamateI had in the neighborhood of 5-6K in the bed, 1/2" from the bump stops on the back. . .sorry, no pics, had to rush to unload before it got dark.

anyway, once again I'm having P0336 issues(crank sensor). this time I was climbing a decient hill and granted I was lugging a bit, she was doing good then all of a sudden nothing. . .all gages went completely out. I still had brakes and power steering since I have a manual, left it in gear, but still. . .

David, have you seen anything like this. . .I think it may be my TST cutting out on me, but at the time I'm more concerned about staying on the road instead of looking to see if the remote is on.

my connections are good for my crank sensor, she is just knocking out on me and it sucks. . .realy bad when loaded[:@]

Sorry to hear about that. Hopefully it's something simple.

I have seen this exact same problem and I hate to say it, but it usually is a result of a programmer malfunctioning. Or is a wire pinched somewhere. But since you have not had other problems, I would unhook the programmer and test drive it for a few days...

and that does point me in the right direction. . .I guess I'll need to go through the harness of my TST and look for pinched wires. most likely the power wires, or the ground getting gunked up.

Drew, like Watermelon and Parts/Service suggested, remove programmer and heed some your own advice.... "dump some Drew's brew and find" that big hill!!! I was having issues as well with programmer, since removing it and giving her a good dose of power service, I now burn a gal of oil every 21.5 miles.

Could be the programmer/ tst. The most common wiring problemI have found dealing with intermittent faults are the terminals them selves. Usually they loose tension and dont hold the pins tight anymore. (sorta like throwing a hotdog down a hallway). Just something to look for when you check over the harness.

Yup, check the connectors and use some dielectric grease on them. The quad tech guy told me to put a slight angle on the flat pins inside my rail pressure sensor connector for a tighter fit too.

hey drew run into this code from time to time. presume it is a common rail truck? if it is the connector for the crank sensor should be below the high pressure pump.(harness connector) is it wet with fuel ? the fuel would be if you had a the dreaded drip or wetness from the high pressure pump. and it sets this code and also causes a int. stall. but to be honest have had more problems with controllers causing the code here in the shop. and usually it is not wiring to or from it but the little Black Box itself . fill me in but try unhooking and driving it for a while
