RE: What is wrong with our forum???

RESPECTFULLY ~ Way too much thread crapping! This thread is a fine example.

Home remodling? How to work your camera?

What do these things have to do with Dodge CTD's?
its actually prolly has more to do with guys like yourself, arggg i was talking about what oil to run in the winter and now some SOB said its snowing where he is!!!!!Stay on task people... dun dun dun dun raming speed!!!!!!
its good when people can have a casual convo, as long as its not just 2 or 3 people going back and forth as if they were texting eachother.

BTW im pretty sure ive posted more stuff in the CTD section relating to cummins than you have in the last week and i dont own a CTD.

been away for a while, a great snowmobile season has left 6 of my famly's sleds in various states of disrepair. working on the sleds plus 70 hours a week at my full time job don't leave too much computer time, except for trying to find sled parts. not to mention about $4000 in snowmobile parts doesn't leave any budget for the truck[sm=outcold.gif]. i should have all the work finished in the next couple months and i will be back on track. i'll post pics if everyone wants to see them, but i don't want to get yelled at for being OT.[sm=alcoholic.gif]

Well now........

Let me just interject my little dose of smartarse into all the belly aching.

Actually, I've been away.........still away........gonna be away..........and this friggin little "country" that I'm in has the slowest internet on the damn planet and it takes about 10 minutes for me to load a single page and trying to post anything and have it come up in a timely manner is friggin impossible.

Not to mention the fact that I'm a continent away from my truck, stuck driving my little Ford Focus (which has now gotten hit 3 times by these morons down here), and dealing with people that are the biggest welfare case on the planet.

Okay, rant mode off. Just thought I'd drop in and say howdy being that I'v been AWOL for a while.

Wait a minute.........What the hell is this "shampoo" thing all about? Or do I even wanna ask what kinda Metro-Sexual, Rainbow Coalition, Soap Roping, Fruit Booty kinda crap has been going on in here????

Why would you lock it? because it went off topic? The initial reason for the thread was to get the fun back on this area of the forum. I am seeing some more fun and definately good information, Still looking for a boost.

And, like in many other forums, you would have just ran people off. Because, what is a forum? It's a means of discussion. Without discussion you simply have a great big FAQ page and nobody comes on here except to search for a specific question to a specific part. If I wanted to do that, I'd read through a Haynes manual.

But forunately, this forum has had some very good moderators and admin folks since I've been here. We've also had a great crowd of folks that have always made the forum a lot more fun, due to their sense of humor, willingness to help each other out, discuss topics that have discussed numerous times before, generate meet and greets, etc.

Just because a topic goes "OT" isn't necessarily a bad thing...........it just means that discussion is taking place. Discussion, especially light humored, "OT" type topics tends to get some of the lurkers to join in and finally post up and get into a bit of fun.

So, to that end, you have a choice. If you click on a topic and you don't like it, you simply go to something else. If you've heard it a million times and you don't want to add something productive, don't give the person a hard time and tell them "Use the search", just move on and someone will probably help them out.

As for closing, locking or otherwise...........leave it alone, it got me to post up and I've been missing a little while.

Have fun folks.

Rich

You mean the newly found hatred of RamItOne amongst some of the ctd'rs wasnt enough of a boost? LOL.

And for mopar man
Didn't think you really could have gone off topic in a post like this. And for those thats say lock it, like I said in an earlier post in this thread your type is prolly a leading cause of "what is wrong with this forum", and hey it aint your bandwidth and server space so who cares.
If you're not a fan of perfectly usefull threads I'm gonna do a DIY on how to put sparkplugs in an oil burner. HA

+1 Nailed it

Below was my first post. Those ware the reasons I joined here and stay here too, Rich. If I offend or upset anyone with my pics, sigs, or immature humor. Please don't take it personal. I just try to entertain a little and lighten the mood. If it bothers you that much send me a PM. If I wanted to read a 10 page thread on 50 guys arguing the torque specs of their Johnson rods, I'd be on another forum.

Hi, my name's Chad and I'm a Dieselholic.

Been checking out all the forums out there since I got the sickness in January but really enjoy this one. This is the only forum with personality. Thanks for all the great info, ideas and entertainment.
