My untimely death is now certain ...

my board was 1 inch thick wood and the word "ollie" referred to a comedian and not a trick. And the word tail grab also had a totally different meaning..

My very first board was a home made jobbie. It was a hunk of wood with roller skate wheels NAILED to it.

To have survived that alone was a miracle in itself.
That's awesome. I never did the skate board thing, but I raced bmx bikes when I was younger.I really miss that. I started getting into the flat land stuff, but never did much with it cause I couldn't afford a newbike. I've always kind of wanted to get one again....maybe when I grow up like mayfair

Ok, why does that make me think of Kukla, Fran, and Ollie.......
thats the funniest thing ive seen from mayfair in a while! i never knew you were a boarder?!?!
you are going to have to take a video or picture and show us when you tweak your self out because that would make alot of peoples day. i have never been on a skate board but i do snowboard...pretty fun stuff.
until we get better media, this will have to do!

Mayfair........Ya must have part cat in you, ya know, the nine lives thing. I know riding the Harley isn't the safest thing in the world. Now the board eh? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to get another bike to ride again, but I can't imagine how difficult the recovery from a bad accident would be.
Might want to check into that Aflac duck thing insurance eh?

Nice board mayfair! Ive got a blind reaper deck with krux trucks that is pretty sweet as well. I agree, this is pretty random though, lmao. I remember my dad's skateboard from when he was a kid. It was yellow plastic with solid metal wheels, the thing had to of weighed 10 pounds...

LMAO !!!! [sm=icon_rofl.gif]
Dude that is AWESOME !!!
Riv - that duck idea is pretty good, but I need my extra cash for cheesesteaks and tastycakes

JR - If your dads old board was a plastic yellow board with a very pointed front end and a slightly swept up tail, I had the same one.
