Lookey What I Found In My AFE Stage2
It kinda looks like the metal spline that runs down the starting and ending pleat of the filter doesn't it? It looks liike the turbo ripped it right out, and churned it up, although I'm surprised that you didn't hear anything at all.
Here's an update!
After removing the Intake tube this is what I found! The snap ring was inside the intake tube and the silencer ring was just floating around in there! Sorry the picture of the inlet is blurry, I couldn't get the camera to focus properly
Do you think any of this is repairable? Would I be able to replace the fins on the inlet of the turbo?

holy crap dood. . .the compressor for your turbo is trashed. . .I'll bet those pieces are part of the silencer ring.
I'd be wondering how much of that ring made it into your intercooler, much less the engine.

Drew,
That's what i was thinking... Looks like there is quite a bit of the ring missing. I am going to havetopull the intercooler and head offand check it out, that way i can check the valves at the same time! From there I guess the only other thing is the outlet side of the turbo!
Is head removal something i can do on my own? or would i be better of sending to a mechanic?

Mayfair,
Just finished putting everything back to stock! Hopefully the dealership will be able to figure something out when i drop it off there after the holidays!
How should i go about it? Do i put the silencer ring and snap ring back in there? or do i tell the dealer i found a few pieces of metal while changing my filter? What should my story be to avoid being denied warranty work?

if you go that routetell them you heard a funny noise from the turbo. . .took the intake off to see what the noise was and this was what you found.
you are going to need a new turbo reguardless.
could bean instalation issue from the factory.
