WHOA! More lube needed!!!

If you going to run Kerosene you need at least 5% lube oil for that...

7 x 5% = 44 Ozs...

The "rotary" VE pump (pre '94) and electronic VP-44 (98.5+ 24 valve) VE and VP-44 pumps are fuel lubricated.
#1-D Diesel or #2 Fuel Oil (diesel) only
Alternate fuels listed for the P7100 pump may be used in the VE pump if if 5% lube oil is added.

Why run Kerosene its got less BTU's by volume... So its going to produce less power hance lower MPG's... Just to risky of a fuel...

Yeah, what's up with the kero Viper? What made you decide to try that out?

it is free!!! thats the only reason that i am running it! i ran about 200 miles of it so far. the truck is running fine and still feels like there isn't a loss of power. would some plain clean motor oil work for lube. i don't have anymore 2 stroke and don't have time to stop for any tomarrow morning?

I'd throw some ATF in their for lube, and if you wanted you can run the truck straight off of the stuff. Our lead diesel tech has a 7.3 powerstroke that he runs all the waste ATF from the dealership through. Has to change the fuel filters more often, but hey free fuel.

for the ones who cant do math, he has 16 oz of oil currently and to be safe should add 2 more pints.

do you have any expectations on fuel econ?

now for your next mod, build a grill in your bed that way you can cook some steaks while youre idling in traffic.

i really didn't care about economy just because it was free! i just added two quarts of motor oil that i had in the garage. i didn't have time to stop and get 2 stroke or i would have. i think that i am going to top the tank off before i put it back in the garage with regular diesel just to make sure that there is enought lube in it. it should take about 7-10 gallon.

DONT USE ATF. . .it is just as bad as running the kero alone.
