you shouldnt.. .however it is always a good thing to install a boost EGT probe at a minimum, and if you have an auto a tranny temp sensor is also a good idea, even if you are staying stock.

On my stock 07 5.9 i've hit 1300+ at 32ish lbs of boost, with my 10,500 lbs trailer. Ialso wondered about the stock settings, you would thinkCummins/Dodge would have theduty cycle short enough to not have to worry about egts.
