Default Installed Edge/Attitude.....transmission noise

Ok so i just finished installing my edge juice w/attitude.... the only thing i didnt install was the transmission temp gauge cus i cant find the right tranny fluid.Any way i noticed when im on level 1 which is the miliage mode... when my rpm's get about 2,000 thers a weird nose coming from my tranny i dont no what it is......it doesnt feel like its slipping...but i dont like it.....its only when i presspedal down all the way...if i easepass the 2,000 rpm about half peddle the noise isnt there...i hope i didnt spend$700just to put it on stock

i read that putting it on like level 4 or 5 you gotta watch your tranny but level 1???

its a 1998.5 3/4 ton manual 5 speed 24 valve.....and anyone no what transmission fluid i should use...i cant fine the syntorque..75/90 i found castrol SYNTEC sythetic 75/90 but i read that you DONT wanna use the syntec only syntorque.......any help would be appreciated... i only got 54,000 miles on this rig i dont wanna mess it up.

I'm sure somebody will be along to answer your question, but if you have a manual transmission do you need a guage on it? I know mines an auto and the temp comes thru the ECM I think.

you would have to describe the noise bro...i have a 2002 which i think is nearly the same as yours, and i have the juice/attitude program,. and have had it in my truck for a while now...runs good on level 3 and 4 for me...so maybe its your torque converter locking up? what gear is it doin this in ?...or is yours even an automatic ?

does it do the same thing on all levels?

I have a TST and when I get into it, it does make a different noise. Sounds partturbo'ish/transmission'ish. I would assume most of the power from the edge is on the top end that when you really get on it is when you notice it.

I can have my TST cranked up, but if I just ease into it, it doesn't sound any different than stock.

you know what. . .it would probably be a good thing to yank the tranny apart and inspect 3rd and 5th gear. 5th gear has an issue of the retaining nut working loose and falling off completely, then 3rd gear seems to be a bit on the weak side and has actualy stripped in a few trucks.
