Help a gasser out :)
not sure if you can reserve a standby or not... the only times i used one they were given to me by a pilot friend who flew for continental... but i know others who just show up at the airport and wait for a seat. one friend was not in a hurry and he spent two days (daytime only, went home at night) just waiting for an open seat. just brought his laptop, ipod, and some books and relaxed all day!
man as long as I have wifi and a power source I can get through anything (starbucks and pizza hut helps) I run my iPhones battery down 1-2 times a day. Prolly half to 2/3rds of my posts are on my wifi. The worst layover I had was 17 f'ing hours in Rome, wound up going to a flight attnedants birthday party. I've sat on the Tarmac for 3 hours before a 9 hour flight from Munich to uh I think northern ky/oh. That sucked but what was even worse was a lot of the people on the lane were on the flight sched the day before but was cancled after being on the tarmac for 5.5 hours. I'm glad we got of when we did. The next day mass transit shut down due to snow, planes skidded along the runway, stopping far later than what the FAA says is safe. One reason I'm a big fan of travel insurance, pays for hotels if your trip gets screwed up, also pays for a flight if your current carrier canceled and won't pay for you to get on an other airlines plane.
You could just tell uhaul/penske that your needing to tow a regal or something similar. thats how I got my68 f250 fromal to mo.
It just fit, had to put the straps around the front axle and deflate the front tires. Towed it with a 91 chevy 1500 w/the 4.3 v6 in it.

yeah I'll look into standby, only thing is jax airport is way outside the city.
Mac what size tires did that ferd have? Checked penskes site and they said basically tire not larger than 15" wheels and like 245 55 so even if I deflate my 275 60 20 would be a stretch. Also I wonder if I'll pass inspection on the weigh stations, that's the last thing I need is to have them fail my rig and have to leave my truck there and them flybsck to wherever the hell in bfe im at, if its not that far I'll have my friend fly me in his dads beechcraft to whatever lil air strip is nearest. All he does is work on his coding for a new gaming engine he's developing so he could use the break.
Spurs game was so good I'm watching it again. Then off to the gym.
Thanks again for the site info towrig, and mac I'll go back to uhaul ad measure the wells on the dolly. Its ashamed their car carriers are too short, still wishing I would have room for a trailer cause that would have been a great xcuse to buy one.

hell, just buy the trailer and put it in your garage and use it as a storage shelf
then at least you would always have one. and if it doesnt fit in the garage, put it in the back yard and build a removable kennel on it for your dog, then when it rains hes not stuck in the mud
if i didnt live in an apartment i'd be all over my own trailer. i need one like hell for my jeep. i'm going to CO next month and i'm gonna have to rent a trailer for a week[:@]

hey quit giving me ideas lol. Trying to lighten my load, my pontoon is long and gone and I sold my quad to my buddy.
The storage shelf and back yard ain't a bad idea. The lot is 1/3 acre which is large for Florida. I was upset when I tore down my doghous I built, 1 inch ply floor, 3/4" bsb walls, double layer roof with small solar fan to pump out heat. Shingled the roof and out vinyl siding on the sides. It was big, 4x8 floor and 3.5 ft tall. I'm keeping the water bowl shelter I built, that's how I got a drill bit in my foot.

4x8 would fit perfect on a trailer! and if your dog needs a change in scenery you can wheel him to the other side of the yard
not to mention if you ever need to have someone else watch him, he can still have his home away from home!

If you had a trailer, you could have put your truck on the trailer and your dog house in the bed of your truck. They you would have had a covered place for more of your "stuff".
