Wait forget the sheet metal. Machine the switch housing out of aluminum. Dang I gotta get a machine to make stuff on. The picture is in my head and I have the know how, I just need a small CNC mill to make it happen.

LMAO!! Gotcha!I was kinda thinking "There's no way he's worried about the added weight of a tiny scrap of sheet metal! That thing weighs a ton as it is!"

Hell carbon fiber or Teak Wood if you like. I made a little sketch in paint. The long part is the top view the little part shows an end view.

LOL... 4.45 tons to be exact !

Yeah, Nick had a good idea it's just you can go too far sometime in what's done on a truck... IMHO. Like chrome door handles ! Sorry if anyone has them but, IMO, they're are bad... in a bad way !!!

It's not a full blown race truck so, it's not going to look that way inside if I can help it. The shifter is the exception :-)

Nick, hwere are you installing that ? If I can install them where I'd like to, they will come through the dash and there won't be a need for any kind of plate. The idea is to have them look factory... kind like the shifter :-)

I was thinking right next to your shifter on the drivers side, but that could go on the dash or anywhere you like it. I like a little bit of a gadget look, but if you're going for stock appearance, the switches through the dash without the box would probably accomplish that better.
