Holy bananas...that took some major cojones to cut up the console like that.....but nice work. Forgive the ignorance, but what will this be useful for?

A floor shifter has always been better for more precise transmission control. My guess is, Triton will be shifting manually and the shifter he chose will only allow you to "slam" into the next gear. The console shifter can go from 1-D very easily.

Am I right Triton?

yeah Fantasy... that's one reason. I have a 4000 rpm tune I want to run and the only way to get there is to hold the gears. Column shifting is dangerous like you said.

Another reason is... I don't believe anyone's done it.... in a brand new truck any way. I like to be a innovator and not the imitator :-) and I thought it would look cool.

and another reason... I can use 1st and second as sort of a exhaust brake with the way my VB will be valved.

and one more... I've kinda ran out of stuff to do to my truck so, the mind gets to thinking ( which can be a bad thing ) and I go for it. :-)

Got nothing but respect for that kind of thinking. can't wait to see what the future holds then.

You have run out of stuff to do? BS! Granted, I dont know what all you have done to yours but, you haven't cracked 1000hp yet so, you got a ways to go there.
