Sounds like an issue someone around here exprienced a while back

^^^ I don't know if it's any consolation or not, but I've learned a ton by your trials and understand my truck much better now.

thats what the boost fooler keeps from happeneing. . .
BTW, Ive been doing some tests with my smarty on #4 and #5. . .on #5 my EGT's are about 200F cooler and my boost numbers are actualy 5psi lower. yet I have the same butt dyno feel between the two, save ALOT less smoke on #5
it is amazing what extra timeing can do.
