Default 6.7 Mileage

I did a search and did not get much about the 6.7 mileage specifiacally. I have a 6.7 on order and wanted to see what kind of mileagae I could expect. Anyone with a 6.7 please respond with model year, transmision, gear ratio, any mods that would affect mileage, and if you are an agressive, moderate or easy driver as far as acceleration goes. Also would be helpful if you havemileage loaded or towing as well as empty.

Thanks,
Stephen

I have the 07.5, 3500 DRW, mega cab, 4x4, 6spd auto, 3:73, with 2067mi. In town 11 with a moderate to heavy foot, on the highway it jumps to 16 thats using the pencil method. Towing; I plan on it when the weather is better too much snow in Wyoming to get to my property. love the truck, but the 5.9 I had was more fuel efficient.

Have fun
Bob

Thanks Bob. Sounds like you are on a pretty good start for a truck that isn't even broken in good yet. Both of my previous ctd's have increased in fuel mileage up to about 15K miles.

anyone else with a 6.7

Whats an 07.5? different from and 07? Anyway a friend just bought a new 3500 four door 6.7, 373 gears, six speed autoand he hasn't avg. better than 12.5 in 6000 miles, and thats on the " I wish it was that good" meter. I would classify him as a semi aggresive driver. When the bugs hit HIS windshield they go SPLATTT!!!!

07.5 QC 4X4 6.7, 6sp auto, 4.10 gears, 8300 mi. Haven't figured it out by hand but overhead said 17 avg before the edge and 35's, now its at 14.5. Im a moderate driver only hard in the pedal when some moron in a suped up rice burner wants to rev his weed eater motor up- needless to say they usually learn their lesson. I usually get anywhere from 400-500 miles on a tank-depends on how much highway im on-usually 70-30 as far as highway to city.

You guys should be happy as hell you get that good of gas mileage. My hemi gets 11 city, 18 highway, and thats with the windows up, no a/c, 3.92 gears, using as little throttle as possible. If I drive it like it WANTS to be driven, I get 9-10 city and 16 highway. You diesel guys can have 600hp, 40" tires, weigh 10,000lbs and STILL get 18mpg.

Gotta love a diesel.....

I have an 07 3500 4X4 mega cab with 4.10s. I have 15,000 on the rig. Just got back from a 3000 mile trip towing a 35 foot 5th wheel. Truck and trailer weight 18.500 pounds. I had the cruise set most of the time at 1700 rpm is 6th gear (auto) averaged just over 10.3 mpg. I drive for mileage.

Without trailer I average 11 around town and 14 - 15 on the freeway at 75.

I am running 33s and have added a cold air intake take which hasn't changed anything.
