Finally got her Stuck!!
I had a Business Link class in Atlanta today, I picked a 2006 Mega 5.9L off the lot to drive just because I can. LOL.. That and I wanted to drive a 4x4 in traffic because of the ride height over the other traffic. When I got back from Atlanta, my buddy called and asked me if I would video tape his sons baseball game. He is the coach and can not do both. Anyways there is a back way up to the field, but it means that you have to climb a really steep gravel hill. Leave it in 2wd and start up the hill, as I get the front tires just over the top, some "winner" in a Duraturd backs out of a parking spot in front me and I have to stop. Well thats as far as the 2wd wanted to go without spinning. Put it in neutral and shifted to 4 hi, Didn't spin a tire as I climbed the rest of the way. Talked to the guy in the Duraturd and he said that he didn't even attempt to climb it in 2wd, he had engaged 4 lo at the bottom...He said that he probally could have made it but he didn't want to stop half way up to engage 4 lo for fear of not restarting without alot of spinning. He is coming in Wednesday to look at a CTD..LOL
I miss the manual xfer case on my '02. That would grind a little, but just apply a little more pressure and it went in like a champ. In gear or neutral! I'm with ya on the electric bullsh!t Az. Mine hasn't failed me yet, but I know the day's a-comin'
