Default Finally got her Stuck!!

For about 30 seconds that is..................

I got home friday and spent 3 hours washing and waxxing the truck. Then Saturday we went to the "Crawfish Festival" here in Spring Tx. There is a huge field proly 50 acres that is used as one of the parking lots and thats where we decided to park. I drive around looking for a spot and it all looks nice and dry, no signs of mud anywhere. I find a nice spot and turn into it and then it happened. It was like the bottom fell out and I hit a brick wall. The wife had her window down and we had the radio cranked up. Soon as I hit the mud (hidden by the nice green grass) the rear wheels broke loose and tossed huge hunks of mud and grass inside the truck on the inside of the windshield, the dash, the wifes arm and side of her face!!
There were people walking by laughing their a$$es off at the big ole 4x4 stuck in the mud. I calmly turned the engine off, crammed it in 4 Low fired it up and took great pleasure in what happenned next. I waited for the next group of people to walk by pointing and laughing and when they got right next to the truck, I PUT THE GO PEDAL TO THE FLOOR!!!! There was mud flying 30 feet in the air because I have my fender flares off of the truck being painted right now.
I'm not sure how much mud I got on those folks but I'll bet thats the last time they laugh at some poor bastard in the mud..............lol.

Oh and by the way, I have created a monster. My wife now enjoys when I smoke someone or if I get the truck sideways and do a little drifting. And she got a real kick out of the mud thing after she got over the mud on her face!!

no need to turn her off to go into 4lo. . .just put the tranny into neutral and shift.

That doesn't work for me. If I try to shift it while it is sitting still, all it does is grind. but then again, I have only tried that once. I always let it roll about 5mph, put it in nuetral and shift into 4 low or high. Same procedure to put it back in 2 wheel high.
I'll have to try that and see if it works but me thinks it will just grind away!!

That is awesome dude. Why are you getting your truck painted? Black or something more forgiving in the summer?

I'm not painting the truck. I am having the fender flares painted to match the truck.

now that you mention it, last time I put mine in 4lo I did have to put the x-fer into N, put it in first and bump the clutch to get it in 4lo. yes there is a little grind, but then again I do say, if you cant find-em, grind-em.

You have the ability to bump the clutch to mesh the gears. I have an Auto, If I hesitate even while rolling, they will grind. Instructions are to put the tranny in nuetral, and firmly shift to 4 low. It also says DO NOT pause the transfer case in nuetral.

Yall suck. The 08 doesnt have the manual shift transfer case. I hate this electric bull****.. I used it on thursday and it took me 2 trys and over a minute to get it to go in. I heard the actuator clicking and clicking and clicking and eventually it gave up. So I had to try it again and it took for ever but if finally went it.
