Do like I plan on doing as soon as I get the time. They make selveral different primers that actually have a chemical reation with the rust, nuetralizing it and the by product is another element that is black. You paint it on and the rust turns solid black, it has no affect or color change to metel that is not rusted.
After that, then you can paint the parts whatever color you want. No sanding, blasting, or cleaning is needed. In fact the the more rust present, the better the results.
I will post a DYI when I do mine.

I have always had good prices and great customer service from Rocky mountain suspension. give them a jingle, they know their stuff

 

for those of you just running 3-4" of lift you can use an AAL
to get the lift

they are tons better than a block

 

if you dont have the beans and have to go to blocks. traction bars are a must.

one of these sets are only $120. thats cheap.

The only thing for my truck for $120 was for a tuff coutry traction bar, but I think that will be different than a ladder bar.. right?

 

same theory but the ladder bar connects on the top and bottom of the axle instead of just either top or bottom
