07 6.7 check engine light problem anyone resolve this?
I was wondering if anyone has had any luck resolving this problem, and if so how long since the last time your truck was in for a check engine light?
Any input will be greatly appreciated, just wnat to know if there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks, Derek

the codes have been P2000,2262,200, and some others I cant remember.
It has been desooted, oxygen sensor replaced, egr cleaned, turbo replaced ecn reprogrammed, all flashes are up to date. Another light has come on twice for the ETC when this happens the truck tries to stall. I bought the truck new Dec 31 of 07.
Thanks for your response, Derek

I've had similar issues with MIL. Codes P2000, P2A00, PA245. EGR cleaned previously, desooted this week. All updates/flashes current according to dealer. I was told I need to drive truck harder to burn out the soot. No excessive idling. I'm around 26,600 miles and have had no other issues other than the MIL about every 2000-3000 miles. No difference in the mileage I've been getting or the running condition. I thought it was just a computer glitch that keeps the light coming on. The dealer took 2 days to come to this conclusion.

Just got it back for the 9th time 3rd dealer and still the check engine light is on.
Chrysler has authorized a buy back, but they asked mileage so I am wondering if they are going to try to screw me. I bought the truck dec31 of 07 and put about 12,000 miles on it. Does anyone know how much they ding you for mileage? Do they take into account lost income or payments made? I am self employed and the down time has cost me plenty.

My 08' isin the shop right now with same codes. Supposed Carbon/Soot buildup, 8,000 miles. They claim they're not responsible for the diesel the tech is burning for the two days they'reblowing outmy truck with the computer hooked up to it.

I bought mine pre-owned a month ago at 29K miles. After driving for about 1000 miles the MIL came on last week. Someone advised me to drive it for an hour - I did. That evening the MIL went off. I was all happy. I filled diesel again yesterday and right after I was leaving the station the light comes back on again... not sure.
anyone, how can I find out the code?

The motor is made to work, so drive it like you stole it! City driving will build up soot. The exhaust temps wont get high enough to burn off the soot during city driving thats why you have to drive the highway or wherever you can keep your speed up for a minimum of 45 min. Run the eb on all the time. The only way around it is to remove the dpf. But remember its ILLEGAL!
