Stealing Fuel
I've been thinking about investing in a locking gas cap but they can be a real pita. Is anyone hearing about fuel thefts on the increase? I park my truck in a lot for a week at a time and don't want any surprises when I get back. On the Harley forum, on guy has been hit 4 times already. Must be pretty desparate to go after a vehicle that probably onlyhas 2-3 gallons in it.
roadking096Good point as the price goes up....up the chances increase. I'm surprised that someone hasn't stolen a Semi fuel truck and buried the trailer on his land and abondon the truck somewhere else. 7.5k gallons is a very tempting target. Several years of need.[sm=icon_cheers.gif]
I bought a locking cap for my Transferflow, might as well get one for the main tank. Would be great to get them keyed alike.

Those locking caps will not keep a thief out. My dad had them in the 70's and they are very easy to pick. I don't mean to rain on anyones parade but I wouldn't spend the money on one.
