az I want 50 bucks when you realize that usaa auto insurance is assloads cheaper.
My pol
Bodily injury $500,000 per person 1,000,000 per accident
property damage $300,000
personal injury protection or pip $100,000
med pay $20,000 (they done let you have pip and med pay together anymore as they pay you twice but I got in just in time)
0 ded comprehensive
250 collision
30/900 rental
towing&labor

Total cost ..... Less than 800 every 6 months, I've called allstate and they didn't even go that high for BI but they still wanted about 2k every 6 mo. State farm wanted 1800 every 6months.

Now I'm sure your coverage limits are far less than mine, so don't compare my price vs your price.

Bigriver could you see his side mirrors?
tim Duncan who scored 40 pts in one game against the suns (25 pts avg) and that's with the big gorilla shaq guarding him in the paint. Last night he had 5pts (he gets into one game slumps) so he'll correct it and about 10 of their points came after the spurs gave up. Btw tony Parker slipped and smacked his head and Bruce Bowen fell and hit his head. Yep this was after they turned the court into a slip n slide with fire extinguishers. [:@]

Dang your overhead said 18mpg? I know you have a dually but I didn't think they showed that low. Going 70mph on the highway my overhead shows about 24-25mpg. going 65 it it says 26-27mpg. I know thats not accurate but our overheads should be about the same I would think... I could be wrong though!

Just out of my wondering mind, how many of you have CBs? I have one in my truck and use it ALL the time. On the highway its awesome but only gets about 5-6miles, but that doesn't sound too bad to me! Hell, just last weekend I had a nice conversation with 2 guys going from Forney, TX(40miles south of Dallas) to Oklahoma City. I drive that way almost every weekend, rarely do people go the same way I do though! I want to find some kind of booster I have been hearing about that will get me 50+miles!!!

Oh yeah... To not go too far off topic here , I have drafted behind semis before. I found this UPS guy hauling 2 trailers on 35South at midnight doing 85mph. Got on the CB and guy said "sure go ahead! just stay a good distance away please just incase", Which of course is reasonable! My overhead went from 23mpg to 28mpg.

Austin, big river has this 12000 gallon fuel tank that weighs him down.

I have the handheld one, I'll post a link later, on iPhone. Was looking at the mountable ones but there's not a good spot and didn't want to drill into my roof. Plus a mobile one gets the same range and I can take it wherever and pull live ATC. Still trying to find a prog to open up the military bands.

They make some boosters, mostly illegal as the FCC limits it. Plus who cares if your pushing 15 watts when anyone that hears ya that far away tries to reply you'll just hear nuttin.

RamIt........Could I see his side mirrors, ah........no I don't think so. How far would a person have to be from the semi to be able to see the mirrors? Probably too far away to benefit from the drafting effect.

This isn't likely anything that I'd do on a continuous basis. I just hada wild hair at the time, checked out the results and wanted to throw it out on the buffet table here.

I like that idea of the portable cb. I don't care to pernamently mount one in my ride. Lord knows I got enough crap in there already.

I'm not really a hard core Hornets fan. Don't keep up with any stats, and really haven't paid much attention to them untill they made the playoffs. Wish them well all the same.

Austin.. thanks for the comps. In a few days, some noticeable changes will be shown here............stayed tuned!

Guys if you saw some of the crappy recaps my company runs on our van trailers, what happens when they blow at 70mph, how big they are, now imagine what that would do to yourhood or windshield.. I can't remember how many times I've had them blow and tear off the mudflap PLUS the angle iron that holds the mudflap on and leave it laying in the road. I've even ran over those before at night and caused flats. And people have been injured by caps coming through windshields, it does happen. I would be leary of drafting or trailing a truck at any distance. If one of those caps comes off you never know where it's gonna get slung and if you don't "have an out" i.e. another car is beside you and you'reon a bridge with no shoulder, well, you have two choices wreck trying to avoid or run it over and tear something up.

several factors, you live in a town with a population of 20,000 people, where the vast majority of the population is 13 y/o and younger and 45 and older so your higher risk group 16-24 & 25-34 is very limited, in the next 5 years your rates will go up with the sudden influx of younger drivers on the road... historically towns with smaller pops have a smaller accident % than that of larger cities like where im at san antonio with 1.3 million total pop, prolly 2 mil with all the illegals, we also have a high rate of uninsured drivers so that causes rates to go up.. hell a change in the zip + 4 can change your rates, so you being way out in BFE vs a large city has a big impact... I would like to know what your definition of "comperable coverage with state farm" is... also im 24, single.... i dont know how old you are, but you are getting married rates which does decrease your risk as overall married people are less likely to be involved in an at fault accident.. having a multi car discount affects the premium for both vehicles, your truck and mustang each would be a lot more by itself than what their individual cost listed on your ins pol is, ive reviewed policies where the multicar discount lowered the person premium more than the second vehicle added to it, so it saved him money adding the second veh, now albeit the second vehicle was an older vehicle but it illustrates how a second vehicle can affect premium... boat insurance, unless its a yacht is pretty damn cheap, and as for quads, a homeless man could afford to insure those....

hope this clears that up for ya....feel free to ask my any questions bout your ins coverage.....

mythbusters did a thing with that and set up a dummy on a motorcycle adjacent to a tire and triggered a blow out, i dont think it did much to the guy at all... obviously a guy on a bike would then fall and get screwed up, but the tread itself didnt do much... it will def make for some body work, but luckilly your insurance company will sue the trucking co... and those "not responsible for broken windshield" signs, do nothing, we've sued pleanty of them, but but but we had a sign... lmao... a lot of states are really cracking down on load covers being improperly covered and are giving out tickets...
im still wanting to just take my 10 ton strap and see if a rig will just pull me for 20 bucks...
