Dodge offers 2.99 fuel !!!!

CNN said it was like 700 gal per year. Varies per veh.
But let's look at the gasser pov if its 3.50 a gal I'll save 350 a year, if it gets to 4.00 I'll save 700, if it hits 5.00 I'll save 1400 a year. But what discounts did I give up that I'm now paying interest on. The issue is politicians play to the idiots. This gas tax relief is stupid, wow for a few months I won't pay the 18 cents per gal, do we really think the gas co won't just raise their summer prices a bit more aggressively to suck up that 18 cents?

now i know this doesnt apply much to the oil burners as cummins is owned by cummins, but youd think dodge would make a gas engine thats worth a **** and didnt get crappy gas mileage, the 5.9 before the hemi was horrible, and thats only why the hemi doesnt seem so bad. but thats like going from banging a fat and ugly chick with bad breath, to banging an ugly chick, sure its better but its still bad...
Oh and lets not forget what the definition of "Incentives" is to the Truck/Car makers.
Main Entry:
in·cen·tive
Pronunciation:
\in-ˈsen-tiv\
Function:
noun
Etymology:
Middle English, from Late Latin incentivum, from neuter of incentivus stimulating, from Latin, setting the tune, from incentus, past participle of incinere to play (a tune), from in- + canere to sing — more at chant
Date:
15th century
:something that incites or has a tendency to incite to determination or action This word has a different meaning to the Car Maker though. Incentive means they add all that $$ to the sticker price then offer to discount it all back to you as an incentive. This makes you feel like your getting a really good deal and is likely to sway you into buying even if you are not ready to buy yet.

thats how americans are, mostly fools, oooh the house is 500,000 but your marking 85k off, wow!!!!
i wonder how many cars have been sold at msrp??? prolly 1 so they can say it was a valid price..
plus if they offer it up front they know what they are doing, even when youre haggling with them... i had to have a sales rep grab the gm there and we got down to 34K on a new ctd 4x4 quad cab laramie, this was a year ago before all the prices have started to fall.. but sticker was 50k and the sales guy said best he could do was 39,900, well turns out they "could" do better.. i dont know why people have issues haggling with dealers, you tell them this is what youre gonna pay, its their choice, and if they know its a doable price and if you walk someone else will sell it to you then theyll budge..

They are then stuck with it for the full 5 or 6 years because they will stay "Upside down " on the note untill it is payed off.

You would be surprised how many get sold at or damn close to the Sticker price.A lot offirst time buyers and also people who buy on a "Second Chance" program, often pay the MSRP. Mainly because they are stupid but also the dealer knows they have no buying power so they sell it to them for the MAX that the finance company will finance it for, often with a huge down payment.
They are then stuck with it for the full 5 or 6 years because they will stay "Upside down " on the note untill it is payed off.

The best thing to do is come up with a price that you know they won't match. That way when you they say well we can't do that how about this? You say no, how about this (the price you were expecting) they'll say no how bout this, you say thank you and get up, that'll get them to say hold on, let me see what I can do.
I'm waiting for the dealer to get back with me on this. He told me when I ordered my chassis cab that my rebates were locked in, but if they went up before the truck came in I would get the new rebate. Rebate on my chassis cab was only $1000. Anyone know how many gallons/year can be purchased?
