Am I reading that right? They guarantee the cost of 2.99 a gallon of diesel fuel for 3 years?
This ismy only realconcern

RE: Dodge offers 2.99 fuel !!!!
why would they cover diesel but not 89? Hemi need 89, just like oil burners need diesel, so if they're gonna pay the diff for diesel which is more than what 89 is I dont see why they dont offer it for 89, I think hey charge you like an extra $.15 per gal if you get 89.
Btw oil hit 120. Ugh. Did you know our military pays twice what an Iraqi citizen pays for gas in iraq. How much sense does that make? Plus they're now making billions off their oil fields that previously was all kept in sadam coffers. Why aren't we getting a %???

RE: Dodge offers 2.99 fuel !!!!
Yeah I just read that part too.
The Let’s Refuel America gas card program works when a customer purchases a new and unused Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle and selects the program in lieu of other available incentives.
You can bet Dodge has run the numbers. They aren't going to loose on the deal, it's strictly marketing. They neglect to also say what the yearly cap is.....
I would also like to see the fine print on this. If fuel prices shoot up drastically, you can bet they will adjust the cap.

RE: Dodge offers 2.99 fuel !!!!
CNN said it was like 700 gal per year. Varies per veh.
But let's look at the gasser pov if its 3.50 a gal I'll save 350 a year, if it gets to 4.00 I'll save 700, if it hits 5.00 I'll save 1400 a year. But what discounts did I give up that I'm now paying interest on. The issue is politicians play to the idiots. This gas tax relief is stupid, wow for a few months I won't pay the 18 cents per gal, do we really think the gas co won't just raise their summer prices a bit more aggressively to suck up that 18 cents?

Yep, it's all marketing hype!
Program Description
The Let’s Refuel America gas card program works when a customer purchases a new and unused Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle and selects the program in lieu of other available incentives. The customer is provided with the registration process documentation and registers providing their required personal information via the dedicated web site or toll-free 800 number. Once registered, the customer receives their gas card and separately, their Personal Identification Number (PIN) within 4 to 6 weeks of application. The customer then swipes their Let’s Refuel America Gas Card at an eligible gas station, selecting up to 87 octane regular, E85 fuel or diesel fuel, and enters their PIN to begin the fueling process. After the fuel transaction occurs, the customer’s personal credit card (identified in the registration process) is charged $2.99 per gallon.
Considering I got over $12,000 in incentives when I bought my truck.
Lets do the math shall we............
if I drive 20k miles a year, I will burn about 1100 gallons of fuel.
At the current price of $4 a gallon in my area I would save $1100 per year.
It would take Almost 12 years to make up that $12,000 I could have save right off the bat. And they only do this for 3 years. Fuel would have to hit $8 a gallon for it to be worth my while.
