I am going to hold out till Dodge pays me to trade mine and take one of their new trucks, even up. Until then I will drive the one I have.

 

I heard about this on the news today they said you will get a credit card with $ 700.00 credit on it per year for 3 years.

 

not exactly, you swipe the gas card and it pays the amount equiv to 2.99 a gal and the diff then gets charged to the account linked to the gas card... so you dont get a free 700 bucks up front..

 

I go ya one better than that. This time around when I bought this truck, I sat down and figured what I think a "Hell of a deal" is. I came up with a nice round number of $30k even for a CTD QC 4x4 SLT or better.
So I sat in my office and emailed offers to all the Dodge dealers Internet Sales people.
2 of them came back with truck they said they could sell me for that number. I went to see the first one and it turned out to be a 2 wheel drive for 30k. I told them, "See Ya!" and went to see the next one.
It turned out to be closer to $32k And I decided to buy it. But I know that if I went in there and did it the way I always have, they would waste hours of my time , **** me off and I leave.
It was a very pleasant experience. I drove on the lot in my old truck and was driving home in my new CTD in 1 1/2 hours TOTAL. I couldn't beleve it!! Awesome and that is how I will buy my next vehicle!

 

The sales guy at the dealership called us on this. The hubby had called up there looking for info on a small commuter style car for the little sister.

This dealership is known for their truck sales. At any given time 80%-85% of their lot is trucks. The sales guys said their last two shipments have had zero trucks and nothing but Calibers and other small cars.

Our big trucks are going to die off if this doesn't turn around soon. We are all going to have to park them and find something else to drive. As it stands now the 06 is getting driven less and less every week.

Our diesel prices jumped 10 cents last night because of the $120 per barrel thing. It's gonna hurt for a very very long time.

Anything Chrysler can do to keep people getting new cars is a good thing.

 

Definately more thought out than the governments wet dream of saving evryone around 30 bucks over the summer by cutting the gas tax. We will all spend 100x that to replace damaged rims, shocks and re-alignments after driving on the roads that will suffer from this ridiculous plan, WTF you idiots in Washington.

 

1 Long time, itll be till we die, its the whole frog in a pot concept, put a frog in warm water and turn the heat up he will stay and die, put a frog in very hot water he will jump out... even if its a shrinking supply thats is truely causing prices to go up (horse****) the rate of consumption vs overall supply is too small to cause the % increases that weve seen over the last several years.. they are just increasing the price to whatever the market will pay....
truthfully if you have a business and you sold a product at 1 dollar, but you found out that even at 4 dollars your gonna sell about 90% of what you were selling, would you not just raise the price?
what i cant stand is on any financial program they have an "oil expert" on talking about how oil will continue to rise, hello, they are heavily invested in oil, why would they say something that would cause it to go down..

goldman sachs today stated oil can hit 150-200 bbl w/in 6-24 months, this is a blind irresponsible statement, they didnt truely forecast this. they also have large holdings of oil so why not cause it to go up... i think the SEC should fine them for inciting a false panic.. just like how you cant say bomb in an airport. unless they can prove how they got their numbers, they should be fined...

2 but theyre taking away other incentives, the buyer will know this, basically its like do you want cash now or later? americans always want it now so i doubt too many people will be doing that..
