Default double disk clucth

how would you know if a truck has one? supposedly my dad says he has one in his 96 3500 (possible my future truck) but i dont think it does and i need to prove it too him,

I have the Southbend 3600 DD withe the upgradedhydros, and still anyone that I let drive my truck says ,now thats a heavy clutch to push in.

Well, unless you actually take it out and look, it's gonna be a bit difficult to tell.

Does the manual have an inspection plate in the bell housing?

If it does, you could just pop the plate and take a look.

i will have to check. the clutch is very heavy. but thats because i am comparing it to a mitsibishi lancer

Not sure if the inspection cover will give you a good enough view. If ya really want to know you could pull the starter and look in there with a mirror.

only way to truly tell is either what Jake said, or pull the tranny. that will realy tell you if you have a DD.

I have upgraded the hydraulics on my yoda, and the pedal pressure is still no where near what stock is on the ram. and that is with a higher plate load clutch for the yoda.

well i havent physicly checked but my dad brother and two of there friends (who put it in) claim they put in a centerforce dual disk clutch in.

centerforce has dual disk clutches???????

that I didnt know. . .I just looked their website over and couldnt find anything. now they could ahve made them a while back, but the only DD manufacturers are South Bend and Valair.
