well first what year truck do you have?

also the only thing that i have found effective is a chip/tuner/programmer. io run the smarty and i get around 1.5 better than stock. alot of guys had luck with drews brew but i did not. another way that can possibly change mileage is new exhaust but be careful..... i ran open exhaust and then a straight thru muffler and lost mileage so you dont want to lose all your back pressure. im sure others will put there $.02 in also!

welcome to the forum!!!

Increase Power = press down on accelerator pedal.
Better Mileage = easy up on accelerator pedal.

ATS Arc flow intake manifold... good for approx .5~.75 mpg, CFM might be a tad bit better.

your best bet is to let the torque do it's thing when taking off from a stop or climbing a grade... made a difference for me in my testing... (link to the thread in the sig)

One way is to get rid of the 3" body lift and 35 tires and don't drive it like a V8 gas engine. Like Steve said use the TQ and not the HP an that alone will help you get better mpg. Also keep the RPM's under 1800 when taking off until you get up to speed then keep them under 2,000 and your speed below 70 MPH. I can get my best mpg between 55-63 MPH. Once I go over 65 I can see the mpg go down and once its over 70 I can see it drop fast.

should have added to "drive by boost"... keep your boost under 10 psi... that will definately help and ties in with what Charles said...

Like Steve said......

Boost and EGT's are your big indicators on your mileage.

Boost on level ground should be around 6-9 and EGT's between 550 - 650.

If the EGT's are higher but the boost is in check, you're burning more fuel or possibly lugging the engine.

If the EGT is in check but the boost is high, your are turning too many RPM's and thus burning more fuel.

RPM's....sweet spot is 1700 - 2000 on the highway.

Tires at the correct pressure andlose the mudders or AT's.....get highway ribs.

Air filter......enough said

Fuel filter.....enough said

Skinny pedal....when you step on it, push like there is an egg under your foot.

Accessories.....cool guys stuff adds weight and drag.

Torque Converter.....get a real one. Power to the ground is a wonderful thing.Torque turned into heat is lost power and mileage.

some have said that they've lost power with the banks, having no experience with it that's about all I can say about it... however I love my ATS...
