Default Spring in the cup holder?

My cupholder sprang open and out popped a spring. I want to put it back together, but I don't know where it sprang from.
Anyone have a diagram?

Thanks!
Patty

Take a picture and contact parts/service.

Most likely he'll be able to help you out.

Here's a pic of it. Maybe that will help. The spring that popped out has two hooks on each end.

Thanks!

Patty, There is not a diagram of where the spring goes. When I get to work on Wednesday, I will take the cupholder out of a truck and search for the spring. When I see where it goes I will post a pic here....

I can't imagine where a spring would even go. The only thing that I can think of is that maybe it's a spring to one of the wings that closes in on a cup once you put it in there.

All I know is it was closed, up in the dash board, it popped open, and now it's hard to close. I had to put the little black piece back on in the middle of it, as it was hanging down to the floor. The cup holder parts are fine, no springs there.

But thank you for the suggestion that I look. :->
