Your stock tranny can safely hold about 70 extra hp MAX.
When you are making smoke, you are far exceeding that.
You don't get big smoke output until you are in the 90-100 hp range OR you dumping in fuel down low.
Also, black smoke equals KILLER EGT's. That's fuel that is either A - unburned or B- still burning as it leaves the combustion chamber. It then passes the exhaust valves and tubo vanes an these take the biggest beating.
BOTTOM LINE: Making big smoke will KILL your stock tranny. Over time, the heat will destroy the tips of the turbine wheel and the edges of the exhaust valves.
That's why I "suggest" you get an Edge Juice w/ Attitude. Again, it's as safe or dangerous as you wanna make it. Plus it has the gauges and all the built in safety features to keep you from cooking the tranny or anything else.
Wanna play......gotta pay.

Normally, I drive it with the Edge on 1 and the Smarty on 1 or 2.
Right now I'm messing with the timing, trying to squeeze as much mileage out of the tank as i can. This tank looks pretty promising, but I think I can get more. I'm still getting some light hazing at low boost, so I think I need to add a bit of Tq management back in,retard thetiming a few degreesand add a bit of rail pressure to get a bit finer spray pattern.
We'll see. I'm runniong full tanks through on the settings to see what I can get out of it.
