diesel prices dropping?!
the local high priced stop for #2 dropped 0.16 cents over the last couple of days... you were not able to find #2 under $5 bux/gallon, now there are 2 or 3 stations at $4.99 or less...
hopefully a downward trend will start... I wont hold my breath but it would be nice.

To a degree, the media CONTROLS so much of what they WANT us to find out about. But I did hear recently, that for the first time in history, the amount of driving has fallen in this country. No doubt that less Americans are on the road today. All the American auto makers are cutting the larger vehicles from the production line in favor of smaller economical cars. I'm sure there are even more reasons for this downward price change, hopefuly it continues.

I’m getting tired of getting laughed at for driving a diesel these days. I guess it’s payback though. For years I was the one doing the laughing.

RE: diesel prices dropping?!
<\\;br>\\;I thought the price of fuel would drop after I heard they were 3-4 months in to an investgation about speculators to see if they some how forced the price of oil higher then it should be at. Anyway our diesel price dropped 10 cents in the last 4 days to $4.58. Regular gas dropped 1 cent to $3.84 and 10% Ethanol gas aka E-10 $3.73.

RE: diesel prices dropping?!
Been holding steady at $4.89 for a few weeks now. Around here the price adjustment happens far less than gasoline. Whereas gas prices adjust every couple of days ($3.95 today), diesel prices adjust maybe every three to five weeks on average. So when market price goes up, we get a benefit, but when it goes way down, we don't see the benefit for weeks.[:@]

RE: diesel prices dropping?!
Our's will go up and up and up in a single day then never come back down. It is frustrating that it is 30 cents less here in TX than at home. We have a bloody refinery 150 miles from home. It goes in a big pipe to the fueling station not 15 miles from the house. How in the world can transportation cost 30 cents for that??? Dang governor holding her hand out.
