Default 15 mpg pulling a trailer

We just drove to AL to Banner Elk, NC and got 15.06 MPG hand calculated. The car weights about 3500 and the trailer about 2000 lb. I have a cushioned pintle mount with a 2 5/16 ball/pintle combo. We did not even feel the car/trailer back these until we hit the backroads to Banner Elk. But the hitch did not make any noise whatsoever. Before the Ram we had a Liberty CRD and the (cheap) hitch would make all kinda rattles and noises pulling just the trailer. And it felt the trailer was in control rather than the Liberty. We are very happy with the Ram. I still wish it was a 4x4 though.

Pics to follow when we get back home.

Yeah, that is a 1989 928 S4 5 speed V8, 8.5lb supercharged and intercooled, koni shocks and hyperco springs, devek swaybars, big red brake system, etc etc. Its putting about 450 BHP and makes a very intoxicating sound above 3500 rpm that is truly magnificent.

Have you ever heard of a company called Fabspeed? They do exhaust systems for Porsches. They're right up the street from me.

I heard of them, not sure they a system for the 928 though. We went to an annual 928 GTG in Banner Elk called "Sharks in the Mountain" organized by www.928gt.com. It was awesome.

That's one fancy hot rodded vw!

AWESOME CAR

Why not drive it instead of trailering it? I couldn't contain myself if I had to trailer it very far.

Lol, wanted our 2 kids to go with us this year and did not want to have them in the back seat for 6 hours with the loud exhaust http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gl6Kh24xppE

This is a video of us "playing" with a 2005 996 GT3 last year. That was going up the hill. The first run was going downhill, the passenger in the 2003 996 TT got sick and they bailed out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUX1X21a27QSorry about the real sucky video. I got a new camera after watching that video
