Get rid of it, never! I need it to tow my rig and crew. Park it? Yes I've already parked it and it only took 38MPG out of my POS craigslist Corolla to do so. It too is paid for. No payments for me.

My truck is for work, so it's not going anywhere, I just have to be smarter when driving to keep the trips down.

That means I sit at home more and don't get to my watering spots to my that tank last as long as possible

I will be parking mine soon durring the week. I am going today to meet up with Lilfroger andher Hubby to look at a 2005 Yamaha V-Star 1100 custom.
I will NOT get rid of my truck though. I don't really have to park it, it's just a smart move right now for me. The fuel savings will more than pay for the bike over a 6 month period. And I am getting the bike Dirt Cheap!! So at the end of it all, I will have a $7000 bike that I have maybe a total of $2500 in to it. And out of that $2500, none will be out of my pocket. It will be payed for with the savings of not buying so much diesel.

I did the math between beasty and yoda. . .driving yoda saves me only $30/month

I'd ditch yoda before beasty, but me getting rid of yoda will be a cold day in hell. . .or it being totaled out from me running 95-100 on 285 pissing off the crotch rockets

I have done the math as well, and a Cummins would get me 16-18mpg with about 1000 in mods. The hemi right now is getting 11mpg. Even with the added cost of diesel over gas, I would still come out ahead. Even with the larger tank, and the fact I drive 300 miles a week, I can go 600+ miles on 1 tank in a diesel with a 140 fill up or 280 miles on 1 tank in the hemi with a 100 fill up.

The facts are right there, diesel is a better alternative! Now if only I wasnt so upside down with the hemi......
