Dash Brake Light Flashes, What does it mean?
About 2 weeks ago my parking brake and abs light on my dash will light up for a second and there will be a bing and then it goes away. On a couple of instances the light has stayed on for a few minutes but it always just turns off. Does anyone know what this means? I have search all over the internet and haven't been able to find anything. I have checked for codes but there are none being put out. I have checked my brake fluid and it is almost at the full level.
cumminnotstrokin, did the sensor go bad and need replacing, or was it just loose? I never thought to check my abs sensors, but it did start after i went mudding and washed my truck. Maybe when i was hosing off the undercaraige(sp) it knocked one of my sensors loose.
The sensor was bad. it should only have one bolt on top of the pumpkin holding it in

The sensor is in the rear end, isn't it? It may just be loose.
Mine starting blinking one day on the way to work. Turned out while I was working under the dash I knocked the brake light switch loose and this caused it. It didn't cost a penny to fix- worth looking at.

I agree with cumminnostrokin, had the same thing happen to me. Supposably there are three of these speed sensors on our truck and they all need to match or else you get this light. When they don't match, they think the truck is slipping and trips the ABS. Replaced my right front and rear and went away.
