Steve, that kit looks like its incomplete lol, just kidding, I just preffer the cluster that the airdog/fass comes as. If I were to find a deal like you, I would probably buy it though.

FYI: Fuel is 2 bux a gallon in mexico and im 20mi away

 

btw the punched steel bracket on my FASS Broke 2 times in 2 differents place leaving the pump hanging until i noticed it....
so now instead of punched 2 1/2x1/4 tiny metal plate whit holes and slots everywere mine is supported by 3x3/8 plate whit only the needeed holes

 

Get me a tank full. That's a crazy price, wish I lived closer... No I don't.

 

I'm all for a FASS, but past that I don't think that your problem is entirely due to a faulty lift pump. If a pump was bad, I'd think it would be bad all of the time, not just when the tank is 1/2 full. Either way, either pump is better than what you have now. I'd install a draw straw though.

 

It ran fine all the way down, well until the fuel light would come on.But it when the filter was changed and there wasn't any fuel in the canister it wouldn't start. Plus now when I try to prime it the lift pump is making noise but no fuel is entering the canister and I have about 3/4 tank. One person thought maybe the vp44 was pulling the fuel all the way from the tank like the old cam driven fuel pumps would do and as soon as the fuel was gone to complete the vacuum that was all she wrote.

The 150 comes with the draw straw. I'm going to put it where the current vent tube is then move the vent tube up like Steve05ram360 did which let him put about 4 more gallons in the tank (yea- another $20!!).

 

Wait a second - hold on. Are you getting the Airdog? Is your current lift pump on the block, or in the tank?

I have an 01 with the lift pump and filter housing on the block. So it shouldn't be too hard execpt for pulling the bed - I have about 3/4 tank of gas.

 

If the lift pump is on the block, you shoudn't have to install the draw straw.

I didn't install one when I installed my FASS.

 

The Airdog 150 requires a draw straw but the 100 does not.

 

mayfair the 150 pulls too much fuel so the draw straw is a must. you also have to run all new fuel hoses as well. it isn't too hard though.
