lifter noise
i have a 2002 ctd i think i hear some lifter noise is it commen in the ctd and is it somthing to be worried about and the oil is good

when was the last time a valve lash was done? (valve lash = setting valves) I did mine at 80k miles. Should be done around 100k miles.

it has not been done yet the truck has 167,000 miles

valve setting? that would be the same thing as valve adjustment rite?

valve lash, setting valves and valve adjustment all the same
cost should 2 to 3 hrs at what ever rate shops are charging in your area. well worth it!
