I know this sounds crazy, but make sure all battery cable ends are clean and tight.

Hello,

This sounds like some kind of electrical problem. Really need to get a scanner on it and watch all the inputs and outputs. Could be anything from the trans relay out under the hood to a FIPL switch wich would be the same as a TPS on a gas model. One way to determine if it's OD or lock up going in and out, is when it starts doing it push the Od cancel button and see if rpm's go up. It's possible that it's lockup that's going in and out and not OD. Hope this helps.
