Thinking of getting a bedliner. What are the differences in quality and durability between the two products? I am looking to get one very soon and need some good info on the two products. Dislikes and all B.S welcome.

I've never had any dealings with the Rhino Lining, but my boat is line xed on the inside and although it catches some abuse it after only three years is starting to peel off . Could all be in the installer also. Just my thought ...

 

I've had Line-X for about two years now, and I like it. It is incredibly tough. It's not as black as it was when new, but otherwise looks the same.

I've heard guys who haul dogs in the bed say that Line-X is too abrasive on the dogs' paws. They prefer the Rhino because it is a little softer.

 

I like Line-X, but I think next time i'm getting SpeedLinner a try next had a friend that had it for 6 years on his old truck and loved it.

 

I have not had Rhino but have had line-X in my '05 since May "05 and have had no problems at all. The bed had faded some but the sides are still black and shiny. This bed with line-X has been drilled for a fifth wheel hitch and has not peeled or cracked around the holes. I also have Line-X over the bed rails and it has not peeled or cracked. This has survived the cold and snow of Michigan winter. best of Luck with your decision.

 

They claim if you pay the extra to "colorize" the liner it will not fade.

 

I have Rino liner in my Ram. My next door neighbor has lineEx. The rino liner is much thicker. I think they both fade in the sun?

 

I had Rhino Liner (black) sprayed in my '96 Ram when it was new. Had it done in Nashville by a dealer who is no longer in business. After 12 years it started to peel (caused by loading/unloading my slide-in camper). RL advertises 1/4" in the bed. Mine was about 1/8". I called RL home office in California. They made arrangements with a local dealer to re-do it. The bed was stripped down completely and resprayed. Afterwards, I cut a hole in the bed to install a gooseneck hitch. The RL was a full 1/4" thick. With that kind of service, I'll stay with Rhino Liner. Also, save your receipt for as long as you have your truck. It'll make things go a lot easier if you need warranty work. I couldn't find mine (who keeps receipts for 12 years) but, I did have the original Bill of Sale for the truck (thanks to my wife).
