Just service my transmission, when making a turn it feels like the transmission slips. I let the temp get up, recheck the level and its full. Any have or had this happen to you? Any other advice on what else to check for? I have 38000 on the clock.

transmission service just change the fluid filter or fluid filter and band adjustment? if you have that style trans. I'm no trans guy but heard about people adjusting the bands and doing it wrong.

 

well make sure you are checking in neutral! big thing probably are but ya never know might have a brain fart i do from time to time no bands to adj on a 07 shoud have the RFE trans so no adj did u leave any seals off filter or leave two in there anything wierd other than that there is nuttn u can do to screw things up too much

 

There is an TSB 21-09-07 to replace the governor solenoid. 2500 diesel should have a 48RE transmission. The front band could be too tight and causing the transmission to feel like its slipping. Was the trans slipping before the service?

 

Be prepared!!! I just picked me 05 3500 up from the trans shop, (rebuilt) $$$$3,500. At least he gave me some K-Y with my bill!!! Mine was slipping and shifting funny. I dropped my pan and found broken snap ring!!!
