Default 01 Cummins 3500 Acceleration Problem

Occasionally while driving my acceleration cuts out completely. When it happens I let up off the gas pedal and then pump the gas pedal twice (with no reaction), and then the acceleration kicks back in and it is good to go. The check engine light comes on solid temporarily.

It is happening with increasing frequency (and frustration) and under all types of driving circumstances.

Other info that may have relevance:

212k Miles. It is a dually. Lift pump replaced within the last 20k miles. Fuel injection rebuilt within the 15k. It happened before the rebuild just the same. Also its a manual transmission.

Thanks for any info.

Have it checked for codes. Possibly TPS.
