Default Opinions greatly appreciated "UPDATE"

This is a link to a diesel truck i found, its about a 3 hr drive to go and look at.I called and got some info, they read a carfax to me says it was a lease return, they bought from auction.Had dodge shop do the service and inspection"says its in absolutly great shape"Im the owner of a 1500 MC and i think i could live with the QC"..the door sticker says 8-06 so must be the last quarter is why its a 07 model.Engine is still the 5.9.Was there anything that was changed on the 5.9 in 07 models that i should be aware of?Thanks for the help so far i have recieved on my journey to becoming a cummins owner!!

Nice truck, engine is barley broke in. I would get it before someone else beats you to it. With the low miles don't have to worry about ball joints like I did with mine.

Congrats on your Cummins.

Mine is not a Laramie, but I paid less than that when mine was brand new. I guess the 5.9's are commanding a premium price now.

Very nice I would try to get it cheaper do a NADAguides.com on it to see what its worth to the bank first then talk to dealer from their if the bank will loan that amount then work with dealer from that point. best option is try and get your own bank so they don't change the % rate on you like they dealers are doing. they say they can get you 4% sign the papers come back a week later change it to 20% with a 900 buck payment.

not to bad then is that wholesale or trade in value? but anyways the truck is what it is. seems nice when you get a chance to look at it look at he exhaust manifold and see if it was drilled and tapped for a egt probe if so then it had gauges on it. then if something dont seem write leave get on here and tell us about it ASAP we can help you out if it needs addressed quickly pm me it goes to my BB so i will hope on and talk to you or get someone on here to help
good luck man
the title doc and fee's is everywhere also they didnt give the guy that traded the truck in 31,000 for it so work with them push the issue about pennys remember its your pennys

Dude First off every single person on here doesn't know everything. just cause your new dont mean nothing to me. I am here to help anyway i can.
so on the E.M on the top if their is a pipe plug in it then its been tapped for a probe. you can see it from the top of the E.M. when it starts have your wife do it and then stand at the back of it see if it smokes white or blue smoke black is ok if your under a load driving.
see what exhaust it has factory or aftermarket Factory will have this big resonator on it next to the trans of its Auto. Manual not sure????
Check the HP rating on the drivers side of the motor on the Valve cover their is a tag it will say the Hp rating. Also see if it has Cali emissions??? that is a big deal the motor is ok but underpowered still a good buy but it is sorta a dog off the line. but the motor is good and clean.

the very first mod you will be doing is Gauges. Pyro trans temp and boost.
if your getting anything or not GET THEM ASAP. Just for safety for your engine. Also PM me when you read this

you will also need a Rail pressure Gauge right off the bat you are looking at like $800 or so in good gauges, pod, rail pressure gauge. Quadzilla Rail pressure gauge should be around $299 you can buy then on ebay for $150 but no warranty with them seller is not a authorized Dealer for Quadzilla products. It may seem a lot but consider it a safety item that you will need. 800 for gauges or 5k for a motor? I forgot to add that in my last post. I'm not trying to get you to spend money but if you want to do any mods later on those things i mentioned need to be bought FIRST!!!!!

As far as the smoke goes white antifreeze burning, blue oil burning, black is ok. if idling and black smoking something is wrong.
Daily driver OK but every once in a while you will need to hook a trailer that weighs more then 5000 lbs to get the EGT up to burn off Carbon build up.
I seriously doubt that their is anything wrong with the truck. other then the lease was up? its still to knew to have big problems unless the past owner didn't take care of it.
