Question Help!!!

I am in the middle of changing the water pump on my 07 5.9L ram got the bolts out but it just won't let go. Is there an easy way to get it free or does it just need to be forced off?

Welcome to the forum. I haven't done one yet, but I imagine a little prying may be in order. I just looked at the service manual. It doesn't give much info other then remove bolts and remove water pump. It looks like there is an o-ring sealing the pump to the block, that may have expanded and be what is holding you up.

If you are postive all of the bolts are off then go at it with a pry bar. I personally always start small and work my way up so I don't damage anything so try that route.

I always start small and work my way up to a bigger bar too. I'm thinkin its just the o ring that's stuck. Just wanted a second opinion before I went back at it
thanks for the info

If it is not off yet, tap it with a mallet or rubber hammer. The seal tends to hold it in place.

well I got the water pump changed yesterday. apparently sitting with the bolts out for a couple days was all it needed, it had fallen out on its own.
The belt however is proving to be a much bigger pain, the winter weather isn't helping things either

I have not had to change mine yet, so I'm guessing at this. Can it be slipped between the top of the fan shroud and the fan?
