Need information on how to hook up a tachometer to a 1990 5.9 cummins engine. The truck never came with one. I would like to install one.Thanks

that is were you hook it up to a 5.9 cummins engine that is mechanical

 

Also if you cant print that out let me know via PM I can email it to you please give you email address... I'm not sure about Dodge where they hook it up at but I know Cummins hooks it up to the ALT On post (R)

summit racing has diesel tach's... they have a clamp around the altinator for a pickup and work really well, the other option, dakota digital has an electronic box with a sensor that goes in the bellhousing, that will let you run any kind of gas tach you want, thats what i run in my 75 with my autometer gauges, picked it up on ebay for $100
