First thing go bigger exhaust and a better intercooler. Then see how they are.

egde always runs high temps, need to have a good open intake and exhaust but probably wont help a whole lot, really the only cure is the correct turbo for your application

Exhaust thats bigger has almost always dropped egt by 300 or more even. Better turbo would help. Intercooler would be your best bet. If you can't drop them with all that step up to water methanol. Are your temps pre or post turbo?

Didn't say you didn't know what your talking about. Ya exhaust has always dropped egt in my case. The intercoolers are big but with the chip he is running lol he might need to go bigger. Im still suprised that he is seeing egt's that high, on stage 1 though. Something is wrong there imo. You don't think it could be a turbo problem do you?

not really a turbo problem, just the 3rd gens have a 9cm exhaust housing and build heat very fast espacially at higher rpm's and edge is one of the worst at build heat, however i didnt see the level one part, we need to know boost pressures, because it could have a boost tube slipped off or a hole causing a boost leak, and that will run egt's higher than just about anything

ya thats why i was wondering boost numbers. Specially since its feeling sluggish. Could the wastegate be stuck?

I`m a 12 valve guy, but does the edge box adjust timing at all??? That helps tremendously...

x2 on checking the wastegate. What kind of boost do you see? The boost solenoid could be stuck too... Either way slow spool will make EGTs run away on you. The HE351 is perfectly capable of moving 500hp worth of air if you port the wastegate opening so I don`t think it would be lack of air... My HE451VeTi has *******ly the same compressor wheel and I laid down 422/903 absolutely smoke free once the turbo came up (though that didn`t take long with the VGT) and only made it to 1250* with 39psi of boost. You should be around the same power level on kill, so your EGTs should be close to mine

well i just went snowmobiling i had a 28ft trailor full of 4 sleds. i was climbing my boost was at 21 to 25 lbs while climbing my egts were at 1350 the whole time. so i shut it off i could still hit 1350 then my tranny heated up wich is already a piece of crap anyway. i can get my boost up to 34 lbs i have a good airflow system. somone once told me that it was the edge chip, that it was faulty. could it be that??
